I'll just describe the setup of one instrument, if you need more (for instance you want SATB), just do it 3 more times.Ģ- Open it and create 2 cables in loopMIDI pressing the + key let's call the first one SopranoIN and the second SopranoOUTģ- Open Reaper, and in Options/Preferences/MIDI Devices activate in the ins SopranoIN, and in the outs SopranoOUTĤ- Create a virtual instrument for Symphonic Choirs (in my case I'm loading it in K5), and load a Soprano multi (I'm loading -)ĥ- Set the Midi in for the SC track as SopranoIN All tracksĦ- Create your midi track, and include the notes you want the choir to singħ- Set the MIDI Hardware out to SopranoOUTĨ- Run WordBuilder select Soprano as voice and SopranoOUT as Midi In and Soprano IN as Midi Outĩ- Write the sentence you want the choir to singĪnd that's it. You write the words in Wordbuilder, and it applies its magic to generate the midi needed to create the words with that music, and you send this midi to EWQLSC (hosted in Reaper) with another loopMIDI so it plays it. Standalone WordBuilder 1.1.6 () (authorize it using the original WB serial)īasically, you write your music in midi tracks in Reaper, which you send to Wordbuilder using loopMIDI virtual cables. East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Choirs Library in Kontakt 5.1 (just copy the library to your hard drive, add it to the library in Kontakt and authorize with NI Service Center).

There are several threads talking about to get this working, but I'm going to try and write a concise and quick how-to for Windows and Reaper 4.x. I'd be more than glad to get the Play based version of EWQL Symphonic Choirs, but my allergy to dongles forces me to keep on using the Kontakt based version. Old thread, but I thought to post my solution in case somebody finds it useful. Regardless, any help will be greatly appreciated Of course I'd appreciate any help regarding the standalone problem (which is basically the same), but I realise that that hasn't got anything to do with Reaper so I understand if no one wants to address that. Could someone give me a basic guide or something? I've tried messing around with send-tracks, Midi-input, that sort of thing, to no success. I can open up both plug-ins in Reaper, I just can't get them to talk to each other. Despite a variety of tutorials on the net I have not been able to get WordBuilder talking to Symphonic Choir in its standalone form, but my main question is getting it to work in Reaper.īasically, what exactly do I have to do in Reaper in order to get WordBuilder to tell Symphonic Choirs what to do. But now I've started messing around with VSTis and music technology in general once again, and of course I want to try and get this WordBuilder application up and running. Up till now, I've never really used it with WordBuilder in order to create a choir singing specific words - in fact, I haven't really used it all that much over the past few years. So I have the good ol' Kompakt version of Symphonic Choirs.
